Spaghetti with Hidden Veggie Beef Sauce for Toddlers
This spaghetti with hidden veggie beef sauce is a delicious and nutritious meal that toddlers will love. Packed with ground beef and finely chopped vegetables, this dish is perfect for sneaking in extra nutrients without compromising on flavor.
Start by gathering all the ingredients needed for the recipe. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add 1 pound of ground beef.
Cook the ground beef until it is browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. While the beef is cooking, finely chop 1 medium carrot, 1 medium zucchini, and 1/2 medium onion.
Once the beef is browned, drain any excess fat from the skillet. Add the chopped vegetables to the skillet and stir them into the beef.
Cook the mixture for about 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are softened. Pour in 1 can (15 ounces) of crushed tomatoes and add 1 teaspoon of dried oregano.
Stir the sauce well to combine all the ingredients. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
While the sauce is simmering, cook 8 ounces of spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente.
Drain the spaghetti and return it to the pot. Once the sauce is ready, pour it over the cooked spaghetti and toss to combine.
Serve the spaghetti warm, optionally garnished with grated cheese if desired.
