In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 pound of ground beef, 1 cup of sweet corn (fresh or frozen), 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 large egg, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika.
Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Once the oil is hot, scoop about 1/4 cup of the beef mixture into the skillet for each fritter, flattening them slightly with the back of a spatula.
