In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add 1 pound of ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
Stir in 1 cup of diced mushrooms and cook until they are tender, about 3-4 minutes. Sprinkle in 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika, stirring to combine.
Pour in 1/2 cup of beef broth and bring to a simmer, allowing it to reduce slightly for about 5 minutes.
