Savory Chocolate Avocado Tart
This unique tart combines the rich flavors of chocolate with the creamy texture of avocado, creating a surprisingly delicious dessert that is both indulgent and healthy.
Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of almond flour, 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
Add 3 tablespoons of melted coconut oil and 2 tablespoons of maple syrup to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
Press the dough into a tart pan evenly across the bottom and up the sides. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
While the crust is baking, prepare the filling by blending 2 ripe avocados, 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, 1/2 cup of maple syrup, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract in a food processor until smooth.
Once the crust is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes. Pour the avocado chocolate filling into the cooled crust and spread it evenly.
Refrigerate the tart for at least 1 hour to set. Before serving, garnish with fresh berries and a sprinkle of sea salt.
