Savory Chicken with Tomatoes

Begin by gathering all the ingredients needed for the recipe. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside on a plate. In the same skillet, add the chopped onions and minced garlic.
Sauté the onions and garlic for about 3 minutes until they are soft and fragrant. Add the diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and sugar to the skillet.
