Peach and Cherry Crisp
A delightful dessert featuring sweet peaches and tart cherries, topped with a buttery oat crumble. This Peach and Cherry Crisp is perfect for summer gatherings or cozy family dinners.
Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a large mixing bowl, combine 4 cups of sliced peaches and 2 cups of pitted cherries.
Add 1/2 cup of granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to the fruit mixture. Toss the fruit gently until it is well coated with the sugar and lemon juice.
Transfer the fruit mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. In another bowl, mix together 1 cup of rolled oats, 1 cup of all-purpose flour, and 1/2 cup of brown sugar.
Add 1/2 cup of softened butter to the dry ingredients and mix until crumbly. Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the fruit in the baking dish.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
