Easy Apple Cobbler
This Easy Apple Cobbler is a delightful dessert featuring tender baked apples topped with a buttery, sweet biscuit-like crust. It's perfect for any occasion and can be served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Peel, core, and slice 4 medium apples into thin wedges. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples with 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.
Stir the apple mixture until the apples are well coated. Pour the apple mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
In another bowl, mix together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of milk and 1/2 cup of melted butter. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and stir until just mixed.
Pour the batter over the apples in the baking dish, spreading it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow the cobbler to cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream on top.
