Classic Green Bean Casserole
A comforting and creamy green bean casserole topped with crispy fried onions, perfect for holiday gatherings or family dinners.
Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cans of green beans, drained. Add 1 can of cream of mushroom soup to the bowl.
Stir in 1/2 cup of milk until the mixture is well combined. Season the mixture with 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
Transfer the green bean mixture into a greased 2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle 1 cup of crispy fried onions evenly over the top of the casserole.
Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the casserole from the oven and stir gently.
Top with an additional 1/2 cup of crispy fried onions. Return the casserole to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown.
Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before serving.
