Classic Banana Bread with a Twist
A moist and flavorful banana bread topped with a caramelized banana slice for added sweetness and texture.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
In a large bowl, mash 3 ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
Stir in 1/3 cup of melted butter into the mashed bananas.
Mix in 1 teaspoon of baking soda and a pinch of salt.
Add 3/4 cup of sugar and mix well.
Beat in 1 large egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Stir in 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour until just incorporated.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Slice 1 banana lengthwise and place it on top of the batter for decoration.
Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
